Simple grapevine Wreaths

I love a simple wreath,.and a grape vine wreath is my fav. They brings and instant inviting warmth, and are a quick and simple way to decorate.  Also once the holiday is over you take it down and pack it away.
I like simple and easy!!

My followers will end up noticing that I will have a wreath for every holiday. I get that from my mom she calls me and we tell each other about our wreaths and how we changed them around..lol

3 Tips for great wreath

1. Take your time picking out the base, grape vine is great but they are never perfectly shaped and can have alot of broken vine tucked in here and there, you want a strong one.

2. When choosing a ribbion try picking the wired kind. It willl be eaiser to place.

3. When adding nick knacks to the wreath, us the basic design rule "add in odds".
for example, look at my valintine wreath, I have 3 decor elements, a ribbion, a sign, and the hearts.
Then I have 7 hearts.

My crafts are "Gone to the Dogs"

So I'm trying to find a place for everthing in my new house and that includes the dog's dinning area. Usually it is kinda messy looking and just seems to not really belong anywhere. Well out came the Paint, craft paper and Mod Podge to the rescue!!

And Presto!!!

these wooden place signs turned out great!

I think the Pooches liked them too!!!

( i know I need a better mat...)

Kids Decor ~ Part 3 ~ Door Signs

I love to find things to do with my leftover fabric and the piles of great papers I have.  So when I was out with my daughter I got a great idea to make the kids signs for their doors, especilay since it is hard to find things with my childeren's name on them.

These signs give childeren a great feeling of ownership, that there room is there's, a sanctuary. It is a great way to get young childeren to recognize there names, and they look great!!

This sign is made completely out of scrap fabric I had left over from my son's bedding
Stapled, stitched and stenicled

This one is painted canvas, with card stock letters, and some embelishments

Kids Decor ~ Part 2 ~ Quote art

I found some interesting Quotes buy some famous people and decided to make them into some moer art for my kids rooms. I used the same idea as the other decor shown here but used words instead of pictures. I though they completed the room nicely.

This One is for my son, Dlyan's room,

"Dream as if you'l live forever,Live as if you'll die tommorrow."

This one is for my Daughter, Selene's room,

For beautiful eyes, see the good in others,For beautiful lips, speak only kind words,
and for Poise, walk with the knowledge you are not alone

New House.....lets get crafting....Kids Decor

So just as i started this blog Military housing call and gave us 8days notice to move to our new place...it was "YAY" new house and "OH MY" 8 days.

But we are all moved and it is great to have the extra room to move around and that also means more places for my crafts..lol

So where to start....the kids rooms.

This is a easy project that is inexpensive and take little time to complete and gives you a great finished finished product. It is also a easy project that you can change to match any Decor.
